Although we understand that the cost of surgery is important in deciding whether to have a cosmetic procedure, we discourage “price shopping” for cosmetic surgery in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Lichten believes it is much more important that you meet with your surgeon and make sure you are comfortable with the person who will perform your surgery, rather than selecting “the best deal.” There is no substitute for finding a board-certified plastic surgeon who is well trained in your specific procedure and with whom you are secure in your decision to have surgery.

When you are treated at our facility, you are required to pay any co-pay at the time of service. If you do not have insurance that covers your visit or if you are unable to provide sufficient insurance information, you will be expected to pay 100% of the charges at the the time of your visit. Payment for surgery is expected 2 weeks prior to your operation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Central Ohio Plastic Surgery, Inc. accepts cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

I am interested in financing my surgery. Do you offer payment plans?

We work with several different companies to secure financing for our patients. Because these companies specialize in financing procedures for plastic surgery patients we do not need to have our own in-house financing. Our patients have been most successful working with CareCredit and Park National Bank. You can apply with CareCredit online at www.CareCredit.com or at any branch of Park National Bank.

How long do I have to pay off my loan? What are the interest rates?

Whether you use CareCredit or work with Park National Bank, you will have many options for payment amounts and payment plans. Our staff will be happy to assist you at any step along the way.

How does the financing process work?

CareCredit is a medical credit card that you can use at doctor’s offices like an ordinary MasterCard or Visa. Once you are approved for a loan and schedule your surgery, we will run your card for the amount of your surgery. We will be paid in full up front and then you will make the payments directly to CareCredit. There is no penalty for paying off the balance early.

If you take a loan with Park National Bank, it will work in much the same way. The Bank will give us a check and you will make your payments directly to the Bank.

Can I apply for financing before my consultation?

Absolutely. Most companies are happy to process a pre-approval for financing before your consultation without actually processing the loan. When you meet with Dr. Lichten, he will give you a detailed quote for your surgery and then you can finance exactly what you need based on the procedure you choose.

Insurance

Dr. Lichten and Central Ohio Plastic Surgery, Inc. are credentialed with most major insurance plans. Please confirm with your insurance company to verify insurance coverage. Please note that not all procedures will be covered in every health plan. It is your responsibility to confirm insurance coverage and participation prior to any appointment or procedure.
